Keanya is a seasoned Licensed Nurse with over 20 years of experience dedicated to patient care and medical education. In addition to her distinguished nursing career, Keanya is a certified American Heart Association/ Red Cross/ BLS CPR/AED Instructor. She is a proud military wife to a very decorated retired U.S. Marine of more than 24 years, a proud mother of four, and a grateful loving grandmother.
Driven by a deep-seated passion for community service, Keanya is an active member of her community and a very active leader in her local church. She leverages the resilience, adaptability, and leadership honed throughout her life—both in the clinic and within the military community—to empower others with life-saving skills. When she is not teaching or serving, you can find her relaxing with a good book or crafting often with her favorite Hot Tamales candy near. Her favorite color is green. She is a firm believer that life-saving skills and compassionate care are for everyone.

3. Guidelines & Compliance
Courses follow 2025 American Heart Association or Red Cross standards. HeartStart CPR does not guarantee that this certification will meet specific third-party employer or licensing board requirements.
